Jamaica: ministro viaja a encuentro en China y planea fortalecer lazos de cooperación
Finance Minister leads delegation to China
Finance and Planning Minister Dr. Peter Phillips is leading a delegation to the Ministerial Seminar on Sustainable Economic Development for Developing Countries that begins in China on Wednesday.
Information Minister Sandrea Falconer said that during the weeklong visit, Phillips will also hold meetings with Chinese government officials, as well as representatives of firms involved in overseas investments.
She said that these discussions will focus on “existing loan agreements, possible future financing opportunities, and the broader economic and financial relations between Jamaica and the People’s Republic of China”.
