During a visit to Taiwan last month, Saint Lucia’s minister for external affairs, international trade and civil aviation, Alva Baptiste, said the purpose of his visit was to look for a location to establish an embassy in an effort to strengthen bilateral ties.

Taiwan and Saint Lucia have maintained close cooperation in public health, education, infrastructure and culture since the two countries resumed diplomatic relations in 2007 following a ten-year hiatus.
