Online protest launched to promote awareness of child abuse in St Lucia
Zandoli International Foundation has embarked on a peaceful online protest for the silent victims of child molestation and sexual abuse in Saint Lucia.
Zandoli has asked users on Facebook, Whatsapp, and other social media platforms, to change their profile pictures to the “We Want To Know” campaign logo.
This is an effort to continue public awareness and encourage discussion, and to highlight the critical issue of child molestation and sexual abuse in Saint Lucia.
Zandoli said it continues to be extremely concerned by the alarmingly high number of victims who have contacted the organization with their stories of sexual abuse, with many having been silent, in some cases, for decades.
Zandoli encourages all Saint Lucians to support their “We Want To Know” campaign for the implementation of a sex offender registry in Saint Lucia.
