Barbados y Chile firmarán acuerdos de servicios aéreos y educación
Chile, Barbados Hold Talks
Chile’s Ambassador to Barbados, Fernando Schmidt Ariztía recently held talks with Barbados Foreign Minister Maxine McClean.
The talks focused on the conclusion of an air services agreement and the importance of education, among other areas.
The Ambassador said education had been a major priority for Chile President Michelle Bachelet’s administration, something McClean said was also crucial for Barbados’ national development.
“We now offer education from nursery to tertiary [levels] and for a small economy like this it is a significant investment in our people,” McClean said.
The two countries have had diplomatic ties since 1967.
