Trinidad and Tobago to Host Americas Competitiveness Forum

Trinidad and Tobago will be hosting this year’s Americas Competitiveness Forum.

This year’s eighth-ever ACF will take place From Oct. 8 to Oct. 10 at the Hyatt Regency in Trinidad under the theme of “The Human Imagination at Work: Driving Competitiveness, Powering Imagination.”

Trinidad will be the first-ever English-speaking country to host the event, which brings together government, business leaders and academics to address ways of achieving innovation and competitiveness in the wider region.

Trinidad Planning Minister Dr Bhoendradatt Tewarie is the Chair Pro Tempore of the forum.

The event is aiming to bring together more than 1,000 delegates from 34 nations in the Americas, including heads of state, business executives and representatives from the hemisphere’s public and private competitiveness councils.

Trinidad Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar attended last year’s ACS, which took place in Panama.
